The COD League site will bring you new style of leagues for a friendly warm set of clans.
Without those excessive hard and fast rules. The rules and guidelines covered over the next few pages are written for benefit of all Players and Teams playing within Cod League.
These have been written with the sole purpose to create a relaxed and friendly gaming environment that promotes enjoyable games and cordial relationships between teams.
We hope that clans will endeavour to uphold the spirit of these rules/guidelines and not seek advantage from inevitable loopholes or by applying the rules inflexibly.

Bunny Hopping
Definition of Bunny Hopping in CoD League has been defined as
- Jumping whilst under fire to avoid being hit by the opposing player.
- Jumping and firing at an opposition player to gain an advantage over the opposing player.
- Jumping around a corner or doorway to gain an advantage.
- Jumping across open ground.
- On seeing an opposition player you may not jump up or on to a building/obstacle/wall etc while firing at the opposition player.

- Players are permitted to jump through windows.
- Players are permitted to jump onto and over low obstacles,

- We accept that on rare occasions a player will instinctively or accidentally hop and ask that the following procedure is followed:
- When a player hops in any match his error is pointed out to him politely by the opposing scrim leader only e.g. Macey please DONT hopĀ. The player will then either accept that he
has hopped or dispute that he had legitimate reasons and give them.

Arranging matches
War arrangers are responsible for getting the fixture played within the game week at a time that is mutually convenient for both Teams.
War arrangers must be able to offer at least two nights during the League Match week for the fixture to be played.
It is expected that Home team War arrangers will attempt to arrange fixtures at least a week in advance of the fixture to allow both teams a chance to prepare.
It is inconsiderate and disrespectful to your opposition to ignore communications and delay their arrangements this includes supplying your opponents with details of numbers and the map to be played.
If a Clan/Teams WA needs to postpone a match, notice must be given as soon as possible to the opposing Clan's war arranger with good reasons.
Both teams should do their best to get the fixture played before that game week ends.
Match information
All the information for the match should be supplied to your opposition at least four days before the start time of the match(unless both teams agree to a short notice
arrangement).
Example:-
Season 4 TDM - week 1
[GMB] -v- [Osiris]
Maps = Strike and Crash
Teams = 5 v 5
Start time = 8pm
Date = Friday 9th January
Server IP = 12345678:3456
Match Password = abcde
Away Team War Arranger may instigate first contact with the Home Team WA to arrange the Match
Failure to arrange a Fixture within the correct League Match week or abide by the above guidelines may result in a Default Win awarded to your opposition.
Please retain/record any correspondence with your opposition until after the Match has been played. In case they are requested by a CoD League Admin
If any fixture is not arranged within the correct League Match week. - A full explanation of why the match was not arranged must be sent to the
Division Admin before the end of the current League Match week.
Any Matches not arranged within the correct League Match week must be played within 7 days of the end of that League Match week - along with any existing fixtures you have
for that League Match week.

Playing the Matches
- All players should try to be on the Match Server at least 10 minutes before the arranged start time of the match.
- All players should join the server wearing the correct Clan Tags.
- All players should refrain from racist and abusive language and be polite in all conversations.
- The server should be set with the correct Maps/Mods/Game type etc at least 10 minutes before the start time of the match.
- In the event of a team failing to field 5 players within 15 minutes of the due start time of the fixture they can play with a minimum of four at the discretion of the opposition or forfeit the game.
(Extenuating circumstances should be considered by opponents and some leeway should be given in the interests of sportsmanship).
- Players should ready up as requested by the home team Captain/WA.
- Demos must be retained for a period of 7 days after the match.
Substitutions
- May only be made players at half time in order to allow more of their clan to get a game.
It is reasonable to do this in the five minute window between maps.
- If agreed by both teams a player who has left the game due to technical difficulties can be replaced at any time.
- Constant substitutions are unacceptable.
Glitches, Binds & Cvars
- It is not permitted to abuse unintentional bugs/glitches within the game/maps. This means that players are not permitted to leave the intended playing surface of the map i.e. jumping out of the map.
- Non permitted Binds are defined as:
- Any binding of three or more keys.
- Binds that alter the map model, i.e.: no fog, no foliage, etc.
- Any binds pointed to any program or function that resides outside of the CoD4 directory.
- Binding the mouse wheel to increase fire-rate of a weapon is considered a cheat. Use of this cheat will result in a forfeit of the game if a demo confirms.
- Permitted Bindings include:
- Changes to assigned stock single key game play binds.
- Binding of not more than two motion keys (Example: bind a +leanright;+moveright)
- If you have a non-stock binding that you're unsure is legal, or have a binding that you would like to have approved for use in match play, submit the information to your Ladder Admin or the League Official for clarification.
- Cvar Settings must be within the parameters set by Punkbuster.
- If you are kicked from a match server for a cvar violation you should alter the cvar immediately to within the required boundaries.

Banned Players
- Any player who is on the PsB MBL for any game is banned for life from Codleague
- Any player who is on the PBBans MBL for any game is banned for life from Codleague
- All Codleague bans are here
Banned Players
- We urge all clan admins to do a /rcon status either in game or from a rcon tool & if needed get a screenshot (in game, with the console fully open, type /screenshotjpeg), this way if needed the admins can check on players with a linked banned guid
- With the new tools at our disposal, we can check whether a player has had more than 1 guid for any particular game, what dates he played with a certain guid & what ip's the player played with at a particular time
so the long and the short of it is
DONT CHEAT WE WILL CATCH YOU
Player on punksbusted and the pb bans list - additional info
Q1. What should a clan do if they find out that one of their members has hacked?
A. It is down to the particular clans discretion as to how to proceed when finding a member that has cheated, dependent on what rules they have in place to deal with such scenarios.
As in the majority of cases, clans are against cheats and generally have their own set of rules stating that members will be removed if such an event occurs.
Q2. What is the benefit to a clan if they admit that a team member has hacked and confess openly?
A. Reputation, respect and credibility are of the utmost importance and can be considered three of the most basic fundamentals in creating any clan. A clan can not be blamed for the actions of one person in the majority of circumstances.
The majority of clans do not have issues by way of removing the offending person and this is done to protect their clans reputation. This sends out a clear message that your clan do not approve of players that use other files for their own personal gains and protects your own clan members who play by the rules.
Q3. What should be the punishment if a hacker has played for a clan in a cl match?
A. The date a member is caught is the only information the admins have at hand. As such all matches that have been played from that date will be considered void if the member who hacked has been seen to be playing in matches since the ban was issued.
This rule will also come into force. Should the offending member create a new name and new guid to play with the same clan, the whole clan will be removed and default wins awarded to the opposing clans.
Q4. What should be the punishment if they are caught before they play in a cl match?
A. CoD League has no jurisdiction if someone caught cheating has not played in a CL match and as such cannot impose punishments. Again this is an issue that should be resolved with the clan involved, after all it is your reputation you are defending. CoD League is not responsible for the outcome of your decisions, you are!
Q5. What do we do if a clan leader has been found hacking?
A. Unfortunately this does happen and is one of the very few times where the actions of a clan to allow their clan leader to continue have to be taken into consideration. It is not the duty of CoDLeague to fight for your reputation, neither is it fair to expect us to.
If any clan leader is caught hacking within CoDLeague the whole clan will be removed.
(This decision is only open to appeal and should be directed to one of our Head Admins should the clan leader be removed from the clan and a new leader named).
Q6. Does a player on punksbusted and the pb bans list have to clear his name with both before he is allowed back or just one?
A. As PsB is CoDLeague's choice of streaming anti cheat program and in the event of your name being cleared by PsB then players may be admitted to play in further CL matches.
If clans do use more than one streaming program on their CL match servers and have any issues with a player being banned whilst in a match, please contact one of the admins asap.
